Christmas is less than a week away! The biggest challenge this year was to think of what to give the Spawn’s classmates at school. There are too many of them to bake my mini cupcakes for and handmaking a present for each and every one of them would take us forever. *_* A bit of brainstorming, and we came up with this gift idea based on his current favorite hobby of making his own paper toys.

Each of the Spawn’s classmates will be receiving an easy to make customizable Paper Toy this Christmas. =) Each kit comes with a blank template printed on 200 GSM paper, and some coloring materials.
We also included a completed custom Paper Toy. He’s a little red fellow the Spawn helped me to cut, fold, and glue for each of his classmates. I decided to add a bit of string on the top of each toy so his classmates can hang him on their Christmas trees if they wish.
There are many Paper Toys to choose from when you search the internet if you want to try making one of your own. From basic to advance, with pre-printed designs or completely customizable!
I happen to like the blank templates provided by Cubee and Toy a Day because they are so easy to do for beginners and so versatile. Both websites showcase great examples of what can be done with the templates. Our kits used the Cubee template and we included a link to their website on our card so his classmates can download and print more toys to make.

Merry Christmas and don’t let the joy of gift-giving be dampened by an empty wallet at the end of the holiday! Namaste!
