Things I Am Thankful for This 2009

Christmas is just around the corner and not too long after that, a brand new year. A brand new decade.

dear_prudenceAt around this time each year I select my “theme song” for the upcoming year. In 2008, my theme song was “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles and for this year, 2009, my theme song was another song by the Beatles, “Dear Prudence.”

The sun is up, the sky is blue
It’s beautiful and so are you

This was my mantra for 2009 and it has worked well for me. I see no reason to change it for 2010.

I am thankful for being surrounded by beautiful, creative, loving, supportive people who constantly remind me of the reasons to keep smiling. 2009 was a year of transformation for me. I feel like I have found my tribe.

The wind is low, the birds will sing
that you are part of everything

The Manikako girls for being the most generous, talented, hardworking hearts in existence.

The League of Yogic Storytellers, although I have only corresponded with them through our Mythic emails, I feel really connected to those women and our personal stories and myths make us powerful.

My friends and family who continue to support me and guide me as I find my way.

The clouds will be a daisy chain
so let me see you smile again

And most importantly, I am thankful for the Spawn for being exactly who he is. And for somehow surviving with a craaaaaazy excuse for a mom like me. You are Rockstar! ^_^

Thank you to everything I have experienced and everyone I have met in 2009 for making me feel exactly this:

The sun is up, the sky is blue
It’s beautiful and so are you

Now more than ever — NAMASTE!
